We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a collaborative finance team supporting a project-based business. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing project invoicing, receivables, reconciliations and finance administration while assisting with month-end reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities -

• Process project invoices, payment claims and customer billings accurately and on time.
• Manage collections and follow up outstanding customer accounts.
• Reconcile customer payment claims, tax invoices and retentions.
• Assist with month-end processing and reporting preparation.
• Prepare balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with revenue forecasting data and reporting requirements.
• Support the Financial Controller with reporting packs and finance administration.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer or similar finance role.
• Experience working across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookups and IF formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
