About the Company 

This company is an Australian specialist in the industrial cooling tower sector, delivering end-to-end design, fabrication, installation, and repair solutions for heavy industries across the country. Every project is bespoke and technically demanding, and the team takes genuine pride in delivering quality outcomes for some of Australia's most complex industrial operations. Based out of a brand new corporate office and fabrication workshop in Yatala (Logan), the business is growing and looking to expand its engineering team.

The Role

This is a hands-on, varied position that will suit a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will contribute across design and drafting, procurement support, and project engineering activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing mechanical designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor
• Supporting procurement activities including material specifications, RFQs, and supplier engagement
• Providing technical input and assistance to Project Managers across active projects
• Liaising with the workshop fabrication team to ensure design intent is delivered accurately
• Maintaining engineering documentation, drawing registers, and project records

About You

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (essential)
• Experience in heavy industry, resources, manufacturing, water, or a related industrial environment is preferred
• Exposure to procurement and project engineering activities is advantageous
• Practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a hands-on team environment
